About
Located in Sheffield, Pennsylvania, Sheffield Rod and Gun Club has been a cornerstone of the local outdoor and hunting community since it was incorporated in 1940. Built by sportsmen for sportsmen, the club’s mission is rooted in promoting good sportsmanship in hunting, fishing, trapping, and safe, competitive shooting activities while also supporting wildlife habitat improvement and conservation partnerships with local law enforcement and resource agencies.
Situated on scenic land at 1964 Austin Hill Road, the club offers a variety of facilities to support both target shooters and hunters alike, including a rifle range, handgun range, trap range, outdoor muzzleloader area, and a 3-D archery walk — providing diverse opportunities to sharpen marksmanship skills before heading into the field.
Beyond shooting and archery, Sheffield Rod and Gun Club fosters community through hunter education programs, youth activities, and seasonal events like chicken barbecues, turkey and gun parties, and the annual picnic — all of which celebrate local outdoor traditions and bring together area hunters and families.
Open to members from across Pennsylvania and beyond, the club also supports local organizations including youth trap leagues and conservation groups, reinforcing its role as a community hub for outdoor sports and hunting culture.
