About Find a Range
Find a Range is a directory built to help people find accurate, up-to-date information about shooting ranges and clubs — and to help clubs control how they are represented online.
Too often, clubs are listed with outdated hours, incorrect contact information, or details pulled from third-party sites with no connection to the organization. Find a Range exists to fix that by giving every club a clear, structured place to live online.
Listings are designed to be claimed and managed by the organization itself, ensuring the information people see is reliable and current.
Connect Outdoors
Connect Outdoors is the broader initiative behind Find a Range.
Our vision is simple: connect outdoor organizations with better tools by building them directly into the directory they already use. Find a Range is the foundation — a shared system that makes it easier to introduce additional tools over time.
We are actively working on features that will help clubs:
-
Manage memberships
-
Accept applications
-
Handle renewals
-
Reduce administrative burden
Every tool is built with real clubs in mind and integrated directly into Find a Range, so nothing feels bolted on or disconnected.
Founding Clubs
We are deeply grateful to the clubs that believe in this project and are helped shape it.
Founding clubs claimed listings, provided feedback, and trusted Find a Range wile still in this pivotal early stage. Their involvement helps guide how the platform works today and ensures it is built with real clubs — not assumptions — in mind.
Thank you for helping build something that serves the broader shooting and hunting community.
About the Founder
Find a Range was built by Nate Peterson, someone with deep experience in both software and club leadership.
For nearly a decade, Nate worked in software supporting the largest financial aid system used by private K–12 schools in the United States, where dependable systems and responsible data handling were essential.
He has also been involved with a local rod and gun club for most of his life. First elected as a trustee at 18 years old, he returned recently to help guide the organization through a transition into the digital era — improving communication, records, renewals, and how the club presents itself to the public.
This work was the catalyst for Find a Range: One reliable place for every club to live online.
