1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Find a Range or Connect Outdoors (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Purpose of the Platform

The Services provide a directory and management tools for shooting ranges, clubs, and related organizations. We are not a regulatory body and do not certify, inspect, or endorse any listed organization.

3. User Accounts and Profiles

Users may create profiles to:

Submit listings
Claim listings
Manage organization information

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile and safeguarding your login credentials.

4. Listings and Control

a. Unclaimed Listings

Unclaimed listings are owned and controlled by Connect Outdoors
We may create, edit, merge, display, or remove unclaimed listings at our discretion

b. Claimed Listings

Once claimed:

The organization controls the listing content
The organization grants us a non-exclusive right to display, format, and promote the listing
We may remove or edit content that violates these Terms or applicable law

5. Volunteer Submissions

Volunteers may submit listings or information on behalf of organizations.

By submitting information, volunteers agree that:

Submissions must be truthful and based on real organizations
Information should represent organizations fairly and respectfully
Submitted data becomes part of the Connect Outdoors platform

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove volunteer submissions.

6. Acceptable Use

You may:

View listings for personal, informational use
Share individual listing links manually
Claim and manage listings through authorized portal features
Submit listings through approved forms or workflows

All permitted use must be human-initiated and compliant with these Terms.

You agree not to:

Submit false, misleading, or defamatory information
Impersonate another person or organization
Abuse, scrape, or attempt to reverse engineer the platform
Use the Services for unlawful purposes
Scrape, crawl, or harvest platform data
Attempt to recreate or mirror the directory
Use automated tools to extract listings or metadata
Use AI systems to ingest or republish directory content without permission

AI & Model Training

Directory content may not be used to train, fine-tune, or enrich artificial intelligence or machine learning models without express written consent from Connect Outdoors.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, structure, and software are owned by Connect Outdoors unless otherwise stated.
Organizations retain rights to their own logos and original content submitted as part of a claimed listing.

All directory content, including the selection, arrangement, and structure of listings, is proprietary to Connect Outdoors.

Unauthorized scraping or bulk extraction:

Violates these Terms
Infringes on our intellectual property rights
Undermines the integrity of the platform

We reserve the right to block, throttle, suspend, or permanently deny access to any user, IP address, or system engaging in prohibited activity.

8. Data Use and Monetization

Connect Outdoors does not sell, rent, or trade user data or listing data.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that:

Listings may be publicly displayed
Content may be formatted or indexed for search visibility
Aggregate, non-identifiable analytics may be used to improve the platform

However:

Personal data is never sold
Listing data is never sold
Organizations are never marketed to based on their data

8. Automated Access, Scraping, and Data Harvesting

You may not access, copy, collect, scrape, crawl, index, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Services using automated means, including but not limited to:

Bots
Scrapers
Crawlers
Spiders
Scripts
Browser automation tools
Data mining tools
AI or machine learning systems

This restriction applies to:

Listing data (claimed or unclaimed)
Organization or club information
Contact details
Images, descriptions, amenities, or metadata
Page structure, layout, or directory organization

Any automated access without our prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

9. Disclaimer

Listings are provided “as is.” We make no guarantees regarding:

Accuracy of listings
Availability or safety of facilities
Services provided by listed organizations

Use of listed organizations is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Connect Outdoors is not liable for damages arising from use of the Services or reliance on listing information.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
